THE BRASSERIE
Our Chefs have revolutionised the Brasserie with a fresh take on beachside flavours, drawing from the best of fine dining combined with traditional pub fare.
Seated in the Beer Garden of Coogee Bay Hotel, the fresh sea breeze washes over you, a hint of salt air fills your nostrils while the sun warms your skin, it’s hard not to yearn for a tall ice-cold schooner of amber ale. It’s this experience that has become the source of inspiration for our Summer 2012 Brasserie menu.
Head Chef, Ari Funes, and his team have prepared a menu filled with Australian pub classics (as befits a 139 year old Australian pub!) and a wide range of international taste experiences inspired by their time working in diverse parts of the world. The new menu features the ‘classics’ like chicken parmigiana, a selection of steaks from the grill, and the salt air is the perfect accompaniment for the seafood dishes that have found their way back to the menu.
There is an experience for everyone on the Bay’s Summer menu, whether you’re after a big perfectly cooked steak topped with half a lobster and a side of chips & salad, a light Asian-inspired salad, or a delicious antipasto platter for two. We haven’t forgotten about the kid’s either, and they will find a selection of favourites on a menu available especially for them. .
